The Italian Aerospace Network was born, as a legal entity, at the beginning of 2011 from the will and vision of five founding members and their experience gained since 2009 in tackling and trying to develop the Asian market as disjointed entities.
The two-year period 2009/2010, although crowned by significant successes, taught us that the Asian market, and in particular the Chinese market, is too vast and too complex to be tackled ‘alone’, especially for small or medium-sized companies. Hence the idea, also supported by the then Italian ambassador in China to set up a consortium to support Italian SMEs operating in the aerospace sector in taking concrete advantage of the various opportunities.
In October 2010, in China, the Italian Aerospace Network began to take its first steps by organising an official presentation of the consortium, inviting the founding companies’ customers, potential customers, Chinese institutions and the main media.
From the launch event onwards, the Italian Aerospace Network has been committed to promoting the skills and competencies of its consortium members and technical partners and, more generally, to reaching out and channelling market opportunities.
